Gunning London were awarded the contract by competitive tender to deliver external and internal repairs and refurbishment to the communal areas of two prestigious blocks in Marylebone.
Internal works included a completely new electrical installation from the mains to allow each flat to be separately metered. It also comprised new FD30 Fire Doors to the flat entrances, LED emergency lighting, radiators, block entrance doors, new ceilings
and flooring.
The project also included manufacture and installation of bespoke oak panelling as well as decorations to walls and ceilings. External works included window replacements, new entrance canopies and external decoration.
Key Points
As part of the works, we conducted a full review of the fire strategy for the building. All fire compartmentation and new fire doors were signed off as compliant by a Fire Safety inspector
Delivered to agreed timescales and budget requirements, with constant monitoring of the financial performance of the contract
Pro-active project and site management throughout the contract duration
The blocks remained fully occupied throughout the contract. Works were managed to minimise disruption to tenants wherever possible
