Description

Gunning London were proud to be appointed to this project, to ensure that the buildings were wind and weathertight.

All works were delivered in a very short timeframe over the summer holiday period.

The project involved repointing and stone repairs to the Chapel and replacement of cast iron gutters using Alumasc products. There were also major conservation repairs and complete redecoration to the timber, stone, clay tile and masonry of the historic Lych Gate.

In the Old Hall, we repaired gutters, replaced the lead roof and broken roof tiles, delivered major repointing of South Elevation, and replaced the damp course render.

The Armoury also required replacement of the lead roof, flashings, parapet bricks, and glass louvres along with high-level repointing of the gable end.

Replacement or repair of ridge tiles, lead flashing, and windows was carried out in the cloisters, and anti-bird netting was installed in the Dean’s Hall.
