We carry out work in three main sectors: Residential, Education & Heritage, having built up a wealth of experience over the past 30 years. Please see below for further details on each sector.
We are highly experienced in carrying out planned maintenance contracts for property management companies, housing associations and local authorities. We have a wealth of experience in dealing with Section 20 leasehold work and the issues that it can produce.
We carry out full external repair and redecoration projects as well as complete internal communal area packages including fire, power, lighting upgrades, specialist coatings, flooring and redecoration.
In most cases this type of work is carried out with residents in occupation. We have specific management and liaison tools in place to enable the smooth running of this type of project, ensuring that the safety and comfort of the residents is our number one priority.
We are able to help clients pre-contract with budgets, pre-condition surveys and evaluating access requirements and can also produce different types of repair schedules and financial forecasts depending on the type of leasehold agreement in place.
For many years we have been carrying out work for a whole range of different educational establishments, from nurseries to schools to colleges and universities.
During this time we have been involved with the refurbishment of classrooms, office accommodation, halls of residences, canteens, kitchens as well as outdoor spaces including playgrounds, gardens and communal spaces.
Working in this environment, especially during term time, brings its own unique challenges and again the focus for us is the safety of students, teachers and visitors.
With a large amount of our turnover in this sector coming from repeat business, we get to know the buildings and the people we work with and like to think of ourselves as forming part of the team. We are experts at value engineering and are happy to help out with advice at specification stage.
Our team have over 20 years’ experience of working on listed buildings, churches, museums and galleries including iconic building such as the National Portrait Gallery and the National Maritime Museum.
With exacting standards and a sympathetic approach we are able to tackle the many technical and logistical challenges that these type of projects produce.
We liaise closely with local conservation and building control officers, English Heritage and the client to ensure that all aspects of the project are managed efficiently whilst ensuring that all work is completed to the highest quality, health & safety and environmental standards.
Often working in buildings that are still occupied and open to the public we have developed systems to deliver a safe, timely, cost effective and high quality execution of finish that these buildings deserve.
